There were guys leaving comments on the plans for the wood shed…

“Got this done in a weekend “ kind of comments…

Hilarious…it only took me 7 weeks!!Anyone can build a beautiful firewood shed in 7 weeks…

Slow and steady 😊

I’m a little familiar with Brattleboro. My Mom, sister, and niece and I met there every summer for a get together weekend; and family reunions up north from there, Camping on the Battenkill.

One of the warmer sweaters I have knit was yarn from Green Mountain Spinnery in Putney.

We live near Wachusett Mt.

Happy art journeys into your next painting!

Loved reading your reply/comment…Thank You!

Yes, the Cawley-LeMay has beautiful woodland / deer, raccoon, rabbit, quail, owl side panels. I am no where near as good at cooking on it as you are with your amazing woodstove!! Just use it for heating up or keeping warm water, soups, stews.

I have a couple antique oil lamps too : )

They are beautiful and give better light than candles.

“ Everything stops, everything gets real quiet, and I love candlelight and firelight.”

That makes me feel so peaceful just reading it.

Yes, the shed with the gray stone gravel is the one. The plans were very helpful….like cutting the birds mouth for the rafters, all the math was figured out. Watched a couple YouTube vids on correctly putting up the metal roof ( last time I put a roof on a shed, it was asphalt shingles-much harder; loved the metal panels.)

It’s full of wood now…all oak most of which will be left for next winter!

I saw your artwork on one of your posts. You are very talented!! Love the snowy owl and the quail…all of them!

It is snowing here…

Peace and Beauty ❤️

We had a similar day as far as no power goes (north central MA) about 24 hrs of it and it started in the middle of LOTR The Two Towers : )

Woodstove for heat. A Cawley LeMay with a 2 burner cooktop - in continuous use late fall / winter / early spring for nearly 40 years ( we just rebuilt the inside with parts from WoodmansPartsPlus.com. )

We ran our generator (runs on LPG or gasoline) for a couple hrs…keep the fridge/freezer up to par and the well. Hot water is the first thing I miss when the power goes out for an extended time!

We burn beeswax candles when the power goes out…don’t know why I don’t burn them more often, as I love the subtle scent and the negative ions are good for indoor air quality.

Wow…your pantry is impressive as is your canning!!

And thanks so much for the Starlink review.

When the power goes out, I become keenly aware of my iphone addiction but after awhile it crosses my mind to let it all go…HA!…not yet : )

Envious of your firewood setup. We’ve been giving thought to how to make hauling firewood in easier as we get older! Last summer I built a 3 cord firewood shed, to add onto other firewood storage setups, by myself (husband was not allowed to help;) At 70 I wanted the experience of actually building a simple structure-handy with tools but had never built a structure pre se. It came out great…but still loading up the wheelbarrow every other day.

Have a happy beautiful life today, Sarah ❤️

Edit:

I had purchased the plans for the 3 cord firewood shed on Etsy. The plans were excellent for someone like me, especially loved the materials list for the right screws and bolts to use. I bought the plans for $8 - now the cost is $11. He used a pic of my finished shed in his description! (before it was loaded with 3 cords) if you scroll through..if you’re curious ; )
