We have a windowless bathroom as well that we just remodeled. Yours is absolutely adorable! We live in a trailer and all our walls were ugly beige. We went with a really light blue on the walls, white on the medicine cabinet and shelves, laminate flooring in a light gray, and we converted a baby chaning table into a vanity that has gray stain to go with the floors. It is very bright.

Nice, Doris! I think I would consider a trailer to be a huge design challenge, so kudos to you for making it work!

Reminds me of the time my husband painted a teeny tiny bathroom forest green. Ugh. My favorite color, yes. In a tiny bathroom, no!

LOL, exactly! I came *this* close to painting it dark red, too :)

Wow! Beautiful transformation, Sarah! Love your second makeover! ❤️ Really nice!

I have a 1980's retro bathroom with blue formica countertops, with alot of storage underneath, and an ancient medicine cabinet. Our house is over a hundred years old, and we have lived here for 36 years. This bathroom was added in the early 80's. We have replaced the toilet and sink. There was wall paper on the walls for years, and I finally painted over it. I could not get it off! One day I want to just gut it, and start all over! ❤️

I hope you get to! LOL wallpaper - we had wallpaper throughout my kitchen and the other bathroom, which I am going to do over sometime soon too - HIDEOUS bright green, bright yellow wallpaper from the 80's! What WAS it about that time? The bad hairstyles weren't enough, we also had to have horrible decor too? (Remember the Pepto Bismol colored carpeting that was in every apartment complex?) 😂

Yes, I remember the Pepto Bismol colored carpet! 😄 I hope in a year or so we can gut the bathroom. Where all the counter tops are down one wall , that whole area I would love to have a walk in closet. The bathroom would then be smaller, but that's okay. I have too much wasted space now.

Well someday when you are able to do it, take before and after photos, I would love to see it. I love any kind of makeover or transformation!

LOL Karen! Just start like I do: by making big mistakes! Seriously, how else do you find out what works and what doesn't? I've found that when I pick out colors in the store, it never works out well. I have to bring those little color-sample-thingys home and look at it against my actual wall, in the actual light that it will get. The same color can look totally different in different rooms, and also whether or not it's flat or satin or gloss changes the color too. Just dive right in. :) xoxo

Love the before and after pictures!!

You did a beautiful job…I never would have thought of that red (I am not great with color anyway and as a result I go with soft country whites and natural wood - I even used Dove White with Linen White - I forget the percentage) on the vanity but I love it! Thanks for the tip on the stick on floor tiles!

And I love your beautiful bluebird Art!! ❤️

Thanks for the chuckles…love the humorous spin on your tale of the bathroom redo adventure ❤️

Hey Feather! If you had asked me before I started I wouldn't have thought I would use that kind of red either. But that freaking blue tub really forced the issue and besides, I like taking risks - probably why I often do things badly the first time around, LOL

Thanks for the kind words ❤️
